I just purchased this fish online and it has developed a large white spot behind the eye. I can't seem to find anything on what it might be. Help definately needed, don't want him to die. Pic attached, I hope it works.
Hm, I can't imagine what such a big spot might be on your angel, but maybe with some more detail someone else can help. Is it just a discoloration, or does it look like something attached to the fish? Is it puffy, or fuzzy? Is the fish scratching or showing any other signs of discomfort? Is it breathing and eating normally?
First thing: contact the supplier, they may be having an outbreak of something (and should know in case you have more serious problems). First thing that pops into my head at that description is Lymphocystis, but I can't recollect seeing on the gill plate and not the fins. :?
he did not eat yesterday (when I took the pic) breathing seemed kindof heavier than normal. No other scratching. and it looks like just a white puffy spot.
