hard white deposits all over LR?!

hello, i am starting to notice huge deposits of white stuff takign over my live rock, when i went to brush it off and see what it was i was baffled to find otu that it was rock solid any ideas on what this might be, also i am havign trouble decidign between a CPR bak pak or a cyclone skimmer, any opinions?

Heya.

It could likely be white coralline (yes, they exist) or maybe lace "coral" (hydrozoans).

I'd go with the Bakpak between the two, but the PM HOT-1 and AquaC are even better.
