If you read my earlier post (easily recognizable by the heading), then you will know that my male pink skunk died. Is it feasible and possible to get the female another partner, namely a clown that is very small? Would the female accept or just chase him away? Thanks! :) :(

Didn't notice this post even thou I saw your other :)

You can do it by introducing a tiny specimen (which are all males). The female may likely harass it for a while however, so it's a risk for sure. Ultimately, decision depends on whether you're willing to take this risk.

When I paired my clarkii, GSM, and percs I always put them in a betta
condo. Then I placed it near the top of the tank where the possible mates liked to hang out. After a few days I moved it down the side of the tank, and again a few days later, til I eventually got the box into her territory. After almost 2 weeks I took the lid off. Usually the male was attacked the first time, but I always had the luck of the male having enough of being chased and nipped at and swimming back to the box and I would put the lid back on. But eventually the female would leave the male alone as long as he wasn't in her immediate space. After a while she quit seeing him as a threat.
