My long tentacle anenome is looking very sad. I've had it a year and I inherited it with the tank and has been kept in an aquarium for nearly 5 years. It is normally as good as gold.

Has recently been very hot - water reached 90 (hottest weather for 5 years)

Last night it was fine but since this morning It is leeching lots of white slimy stuff from the mouth. Water params OK pH 8.2 Nitrates 2.5. 100 gallon tank with 6 fluorescents 2 of which are T5 (VHO). Other stuiff in tank looks not great but OK.

Have put in a polyfilter, done a 20% water change and put in carbon.

No improvement - any suggestions and any idea on prognosis?

Anemone's spewing stuff is not uncommon and not necessarily cause for alarm, but a 90 deg temperature spike certainly is. Are you taking measures to keep a steady temp? All your critters are going to be badly stressed otherwise, including the anemone. My guess is that is the root of the problem.
