What are the best critters for a deep sand bed? I need help with what type of starfish, sea cumcumbers and any other important items I'm missing. I ordered a detrivore kit from ipsf 6 months ago. The bristle worms have established themselves but not much else that I can tell.

Typically, I get the grunge from the bottom of different LFS' live rock curing tanks. They're loaded with life. Use them in moderation tho. I do know in addition to IPSF, Inland Aquatics sells detrivore kits and IIRC, Premium Aquatics has a grunge kit or something like that.

Spaghetti worms are good along with nassarius snails. Those tiny white brittle stars are good contenders along with tigertail cucumbers.

You could probably also look through our Hitchhiker FAQ to get an idea of all the different life that can come in on rock, etc: http://www.reefs.org/hhfaq/index.html
