False percs (Ocellaris) are fairly easy to pair up.

Pick up two small juveniles (it helps to get one a little smaller than the other). Eventually they will establish a submissive/dominate relationship with the dominate one becoming the female (will be/become the larger one). They will form a bond over time and become a pair.

So the only way to tell the difference between a male and female is that one is larger then the other?

When I got my pair I simply took the largest and smallest clownfish. If you get clowns to close in size they may fight it out for a while each wanting to become female.

Not really. Unless a store has a mated pair of clowns for sale (common with maroons as they are very hard to pair up) you can't tell the sex at the store.

You want to try and purchase two juvenile clowns that are different in size and one will become the dominate one. That one will become the female.

Here is a good post on sexing clowns:

All small/immature clown fishes of any species are males. The dominant one will change sex and become the female. Once they change sex, they cannot change back. If you put two female clown fish together in close proximity, they will fight and will kill each other.
To pair up two Ocellaris, you will need two fish, one need to be immature or male. Ocellaris are easy to pair because they are not very aggressive. The female will not give the male too hard of a time (not like some other clown fish like Maroon where the female can kill the male some of the time)
