Young aptasia

Are young aptasia white when they are young or are they always brown???

I've got a young aiptasia anenome growing on my glass at the moment. It appears to be white as well, although it's starting to look more and more like the big one I just eliminated.

It really depends on the light parameter. Under good MH light, the color is lighter, and more translucent. In darker area that they usually do as well as right under the bulb, they are browner. From this observation, it should be obvious that you don't need much light to keep these anemones happy.

I have a few that have sprouted up out of nowhere, But they don tlook like any aptasia I have ever seen. They are almost clear white and have milky white spots. I cant post pics because my Home PC is down for atleast 2 weeks any Ideas

dunno, it could be something else. i have just purchased a rock that appears to be infested with like 4 or 5 aptasia's ... varying sizes. one huge, two middle, two little. the litle ones greatly resemble the large ones and are easy to recognize for what they are.

It almost looks like your solitary coral polyps you have pictured in your thread Hwarang, but with milky white spot on it. Have you ever seen a baby crab spider it kinda looks like that but an anemone. I have never seen an aptasia that white or spotted at all. I have like three of them
