My power is out! We have severe ice storms here in MI right now and it doesn't look like we will be getting power back any time soon. I have a ten gallon and I'm afraid of what will happen in such a small tank. Any suggestions?

Get a battery operated air pump and airstone going if you haven't already. A bait air pump available at Walmart or bait stores will do fine.

A power inverter (available at Walmart or auto supply stores) plugged into a car cigarette lighter may be able to run a small heater or powerhead or airstone. You can also hook these up to a car battery near your tank if your car is too far away.

Sorry about the power. I'm going through it right now also.

Follow the advice above. In times of power outages, Wallmart is your friend!

battery-powered air pump and a blanklet - and hope for the best.

Good luck guys, hope it's not out too long.

Yup, I have three battery powered air pumps standing by at all times for my tank. They work very well. The ones I got can even be setup to kick on when the power goes out!
