Do You Keep a Tank Log?

Not a tank thread which is all about pictures. A tank log of parameters, water changes, any treatments, anything you've added, etc...

i tried, but could never keep up with it. I'm so use to just doing things and taking readings that i forget i've even done them, let alone write them down. Tanks seem to become part of my daily ritual

I do.

But I am really anal.

I also take photographs of EVERYTHING that I put in my tank on the day I put it in, so I have a record of growth.

I have one of those giant desk calendars that I write all the parameters on and any changes i notice in the tank. Also i go out for the next 2 months and write in what I need to do each day on the tank, water changes, change carbon, change polyfilter etc. That way each day i come home and know what needs to be done...

granted i'm pretty knew to the game so am doing mostly so i don't screw anything up...

every time I monitored closely, something bad happened. I'm not a superstitious kind of guy either. The closer I watch my tank and record it, the closer I am to collapse. The last time I recorded, Rich pointed out my lovely AEFW. That's why I have a tank link and not a tank thread.
Weekly testing and forgetting is best for me. No records.
Bad mojo for me.

The more I read posts from crox99 (JP), the more I realize that no animal could have possibly done anything so bad that they deserve to be in his care.

I do. But I tend to keep a notebook on most everthing that I am into.

I've been using Maquarium to keep track of everything I do... I get lazy sometimes about water changes and such, but I use it to chart my test results on a regular basis.

Mine is nowhere near that detailed, but I do keep a running log of info and pics so I can look back to see the changes, growth, phases I go through, etc.

my tank log is on post-it's and the backs of test kit instructions :happysad:
I would love it if we could get something like Dean posted for MR :arg: that looks bad.
I did keep it online for a while, but it was on some beta site, it got shut down and I lost
all my info
