i know you can get acrylic in sheet form, and they don't give it away. i was wondering if you can buy pvc in a sheet form? i have several overflow boxes to make and some sumps. i was thinking pvc would be cheaper than acrylic. does any one know any canadian retail stores? thanks

Boy, that's a great idea, but I don't think I've ever seen PVC in sheet form. Might be a rather "specialty" item, but if you can find it please keep us posted.

U S Plastics and other companies sell PVC in sheet, rod, I-beam, and whatever shape/size you can imagine. However, it is more expensive than acrylics generally, so don't expect much in money saving. PVC is cheap if they make it by the tons, like those 3/4 inch and 1 inch pipe they ship by railcars. Any thing "exotic" will not be cheap.

I use to design signs for stores and such and we carried PVC in sheets. Try a sign shop...they may be willing to sell you a sheet or part of one....they come in 4'x8' sheets in various thickness.

FWIW, PVC sheet isn't that much less expensive than acrylic....much denser and harder to route if you go beyond 1/4" Have to have special glue if you bond it to acrylic....etc etc....it can be done though...
