I would like a little advise. I have little (some big) green bubbles growing in my tank. They are mostly on the LR. I knock them off and burst them, but they keep coming back.

Any advise on how to get rid of them..... for good? What are they?

Thanks in advance for your advise.

i cant remember thier name right now (its a little early havent had my coffee) oh wait velonia is their name. a mithrax crab will eat them like candy. poping them will only spred them. but be warned some times the crabs can be a little unruley and might go after corals. i have had one in my reef for 4 years with no problems at all.

valonia aka green bubble algea. it is a PIA. i'm battleing it rightn ow myself. have 3 emeral crabs in a 75 gal. don't seem to be making a dent. you are most likely going to have to remove most of it by hand with some tweezers. that's pretty much the rseponse i've been given from everyone here and at my LFS. you could buy a dejardini(sp?) tang, but they are expensive and i personaly think they are ugly. i've heard a fox face might work too. i'm going to try an urchin next. when i had an urchin before, i never had a problem with bubble algea. then i traded it in for somehing else, and i now have tons of it. good luck with this. i hate it  hope you have a better time dealing with it than i have.
