I live in Rochester NY and there was another ice storm. No electric for 5 days and as youve guessed I lost everything in my tank :( . All that remains is some pics, wich make me sick to look at. My gf and me have put the tank before food and other things many times. A few questions though, Can my rock be brought back and can I still use my aragonite and just reseed it? Thanks for any help

Wow, sorry to hear that. How cold did the tank get?

I think you probably could treat it as fresh uncured rock and just do water changes and skim and maybe at least some of the life in the rock may survive.

Where'bouts in Rochester, Snowman? I'm in Henrietta.
Did you know we have a little club going up here? There were quite a few folks in our group that were affected by the weather, some total losses, some just lost a few things. Check out our website at:

http://upstatereef.com

And you can learn more about our group. We've also got a forum in the club's section over on ReefCentral that we use to 'chat' amongst each other.
