Wow! I just did a search to make sure it was so, and it was! My clownfish, Jack and Rose, spawned! How amazing! The male keeps fanning the eggs! They have been behaving diferently the past few days. After reading, I will now know what to watch for! Now that they have done this, will they continue to do it? With any frequency? I wonder if there is much chance of success in raising these...the first spawns?! From what I have read, the fish get better with each spawn. Any words of wisdom?
P.S. I tried to attach a pic, but it was too big (268kb)...forum only takes up to 256kb! Bummer!

Once they start spawning, they usually keep it up.

I have a pair of tomato clowns that without fail will put down more eggs about 4 days to a week after the last ones hatch.

I have recently begun trying my hand at raising the babies. I must say that there is nothing cuter than little wiggly baby clownfish, right when they turn into mini versions of their parents!

Hey that's awesome! Spring is in the air, huh? :-D My maroons are still off of their mating cycle, but they're certainly going through the dance again, so I have hopes that they'll start spawning again before too long. If you're considering trying to raise the hatchlings at some point, pick up Joyce Wilkerson's book. It's a fantastic reference for clownfish breeding.
