Help! Dont know what to make of it. I have had this and a bubble tip for about a month and the long tip seemed ok. Then 2 days ago the long tip shriveled up and I noticed that it had a funky looking growth on the base. It still has a pink base but the tenicles are grey colored. Very little movement also.

Water tests are within parms. 55 gal with 130 watts pc. 2 clowns 3 damsels, 1 coral banded, 2 cleaners and some hermits.

I know there are things Im forgeting...

Well, do you think the bubble tip could have stung it? I have heard that can be a problem when keeping to anemones of different species together. I only have a solitary anemone.

Have you been feeding it? I have been very successful with my Long tentacle (Macrodactyla doreensis) under pc, but I feed it often, three times a week or so.

I don't know what that growth is, does it seem like a tumor? Or a fungus type thing?

I had been feeding it 2 times a week, then cut back to once a week. Nothing but frozen squid. It has seemed unhappy the last week, with some tentacles turning grey. But it would bounce back after a few mins. The bubble is happily under a rock, feet away from the long tentacle. I just need to know if it is dying, dead or if its normal...

Someone has to know...

Well, the long tenticle is no longer. Friday evening it had enough. Had to resist replacing it with a large BTA... Ill probably only keep the one I have and add no more anytime soon.

I know that beginners should stay away from aneonomes, but is there something that adds beauty like an anenome, but is hardy?
