Watch Your Heater!!!

Come home late tonight only to find myself totally heart broken.

When I enter the door I noticed one of my heater is on. I immediately run over to the tank and found a fish has just passed away. HEART BROKEN.

Got to get those controller for shutting down the heater.

My housemate told me that all the fish are still swimming normal before he went to bed. That makes me feel even worst. It feels like I could have saved it if I can come home earlier. I am very very sad.

Sorry to hear Wing. I lost my priced Lion to the same thing. Got home from work my lion was floating, when I put my hand in the tank the water felt like a hot tub.

I bought the Ranco used, at some point I shall sit and try to figuere out how to work this thing.
What I'd like to connect the fans, and the heaters.

I agree, everyone should upgrade their heaters with a controller like the ranco model. sorry for the loss wing.

I use the RK2. It tells my heater when to go on, when to go off and will also turn a fan on if it gets too hot and cut my halides.

Sorry to hear Wing. I have an RK2 as well and so far so good. Nothing is perfect though.

wingo, sorry to hear buddy.

like others have said, invest in an all-inclusive controller like the rk2 if you want to buy that sort of equipment. skip the ranco, go straight for the real thing.
