Hi all, this is my first post in a long long time. Its been so long that I had to reregister because I forgot what my username was. HAHAHAHHA

I have been out of the hobby and I am just getting back in because a friend gave me a 180gallon acrylic. He was using it as a fw, but I want to convert it to a salt. The problem I am having is deciding how to set it up. I want to install internal overflows, particularly because this tank will become a room divider. However, the cut-outs on the top of the tank would restrict access to the overflow boxes(both in the corners and the middle). I don't want to go the hang on the back route, because I want to make the views on both sides nice. But I may have to just use hang-ons.

Any advice/ help would be greatly appreciated. I know I am going to be asking a lot of questions as I try and get this up and running. I want to set it up the right way now, so that I won't have to change anything later. Thanks again for all your help.

Mountainbiker,
wow that dremel is a pretty neat tool. I never would have thought of that to cut acrylic. For that matter I have never even heard of that tool before. Would it be able to cut the hole for the bulkhead and the cut the top of the acrylic for access? Also, would cutting the top of the acrylic make the structure of the tank weaker? Thanks for the help.

For ideas on plumbing you can take a look at my website for pictures of my setup.

I used a simple hole saw to cut my acrylic, but since yours will be thicker then my sumps acrylic you may have to take a different approach.
