velocity T-4 pump

does anyone know if the velocity T-4 pump is pressure rated. I want to use it on a skimmer

Supposedly it is.

My personal experiences with the Velocity pumps is that they aren't reliable. After a few months in Ca-rich saltwater, they always seized up and failed to restart. I went through 3 units before I went back to Iwaki.

I've got a T3 on my return, I have had it freeze up from calcium depositis, but it was pretty easy to clean it.

They are quiet, very quiet, and heat the water, and freeze up if not cleaned every few weeks (unless low ca tank, ie fo or folr) but that's the price you pay for a very very quiet pump.

Course mine froze when I got on a plane to Korea a couple months ago, my wife got a mag 9.5 to replace it till I got home, murphy strikes again.
