So... we've got this mag float thing.. and my daughter decided it would be a good idea to shove the magfloat down into the sand and now I am left with some fairly ugly looking scratches on the inside of my tank.

Are there any products that will allow me to fix these scratches with the tank filled, and stocked with fish and a couple of corals? Are there any other possibilities for repairing these scratches? What are my options?

Thanks!
J.

Draining the tank below the scratchs and using acrylic scratch removal kit is the only way I know!

Too bad!

after reading several posts from people in a similar position as you are, I would submit that you should just buy a new tank. Use this as a good excuse to buy a bigger tank! HAHAH Maybe glass this time.........??

I work with acrylic on a daily basis at my job, and how easily it gets scratched just really scares me. I'm scared to even touch it with my bare hands, much less fill it with sand and rock and things with teeth. 8O 8O

It is easily to get the tank polished when drained, but if that is not an option, you can do it underwater since acrylic particles is harmless. Make sure the sandpaper can be use without harm, but I think MicroMesh is fine for this purpose... need to call them up and make sure....
