Are these cameras any good for taking reef pics.

I just recently bought the sony DSC-F717 digital camera. I also bought the deluxe package that comes wirthe everything that is could possibly have. It is also coming with a telephoto lens. I was just wondering, are they any good?

I get wicked results with a $300.00 digital Kodak. I have seen many reef/coral pictures on the forums from digital cameras that cost as low as $150.00 that look as good or better than most professional pictures I have seen.

So If you can’t get a half decent picture from an $800.00 camera, then photography just isn’t your “bag baby”, seriously you should find that camera more than adequate for reef pictures. Enjoy your new toy!

Enzo, you might get more responses to this in the new photography forum. I'm a total camera newbie myself, and they helped me out a lot.

I was about to flame you for not properly researching your purchase before you bought it but then I remembered that digital cameras aren't living things, so go nuts. Make sure you post lots of pics!
