Hi all, I just bought a great 63 gallon room-divider tank from fishywoo and am deciding how to set it up. I'd like to use a sump, but the area underneath the stand is divided in half by a board I am not sure if I can remove without compromising the integrity of the stand. So I have 2 spaces underneath, each approximately 13 inches by 13 inches (with 22 inches of height clearance). Would it be possible to get a small sump appx. 12x12 inches to house a skimmer and maybe a (very) small fuge?
What would such a sump look like and what kind of skimmer would you suggest?

(I suppose I could also have a sump in one compartment and a fuge in the other, but I'd like to avoid that if I can -- too complex for me!)

Thanks!
Alex

can you get a picture of the area under your stand, we might be able to tell you if its gonna hurt the stand if u remove the board or if its possible to remove it and reenfoce it w/ some studs, i personally dont like the idea of two sumps running individually on one tank.

12x12x16" high is about 10 gallons which could work but you wouldn't have room for a refugium.

if it were me I would use one compartment for a sump and the other compartment for auto top off storage, which is more important for me to have than a refugium.

Sure, lemme see what I can do. In the interim, would just a small single sump be worthwhile? Could I put an aquac120 or something in a 12x12 sump?
