RO/DI water question.

Hello Friends,

Is it safe to add RO/DI water to my main tank while my RO/DI reservoir is filling up with fresh water? Or should I shut down my dose pump while I am replenishing the RO/DI tank. If so, how long should I wait to start the pump up again.

I guess my actual question is wether or not RO/DI water is safe for reefs immediately or does it have to sit for a while.

As long as it's not the first batch of water your RO has made when new, or immediatly after changing your filters, it should be fine.
