After a year and some hesitation, I guess its time to come out of the closet. This guy has been with me 13 months and still going strong. This is my first and only Idol since I started reefkeeping.

Here he is, skin and bones, when I first got it.

Oh Samw!! that is one gorgeous fish and tank!! You obviously have been doing something right :D
I'd still not recommend coming out of the closet on RCE ( reef central extremist  ) Seems that the people here are just a whole bunch more level headed. Sorry, just had to add that...anyways thanks again for the tips and " well done " !!

anyone help me to figure out how to reply with quote's
THAT I can do, Lynn.

It's harder then you think, it took me a year just to learn how to turn the puter off and on!

It's the BB code, using brackets [] between which you insert the action you want: [ i ] (no spaces) for italics, gotta close always with [ / i ] for instance. For quotes from someone you need to enter thusly [ quote="Lynn" ] [ /quote ] and that will give you this

WHAT AM I DOING???
.

To get a better idea, just hit the quote button on my post and you'll see the quote in place. Same again for color, bold, underlined textsize.

But how do you get the actual quote in sentence that you want to quote in? When I press the B button it always goes to the end of the page?

HTH!

Re quotes. I hit the 'quote' button on the post I want, then I delete everything but what I'm quoting. Just don't delete anything with brackets around them or the brackets themselves. :)

teevee's been here a WHILE. That is impressive what you've done with that MI.

Lynn, you got it started, but you just need to remember that once an action is opened, it needs to be closed. html = <rant> nyahnyah! </rant> BBcode is [ quote ] WHUT HAVE YOO DUN?? [ / quote ] so it looks like this

WHUT HAVE YOO DUN??
:D Make any sense? Or, you can just do what CAT said, and you'll see it come up fair 'nuff.

Hey, I tried..(I used to be the old lady who didn't know how, too...wait..STILL AM! )

Well the MI "Ida" is doing awesome...I know it's only been a short while, but she is looking really good and eating absolutely everything that I offer up!
The only thing she does that worries me is that she attacks herself in the reflection of the tank alot :? I'm a little worried that she's going to damage her mouth doing this. I think I'm going to have to put that ugly background on the sides...unless anyone has any other ideas??
cheers

I have a tang that would often attack it's reflection in the glass in certain areas of the tank. This started right after I moved him to a new tank.

The only thing I found to stop it was to stop cleaning the glass of algae in those spots. I know it's not an elegant solution  Curiously, it was the sides of the tanks too.

I just let the glass stay algaefied for a month or two and then next time I cleaned it he seemed to have forgotten all about his enemy.
