Algae ID please

Can someone help me ID this Algae?
I've just found tons of this stuff growing beneath my mushrooms all over my tank. Guess I need to really cut back further on the feeding.

I can't really tell but it doesn't look like algae to me. It looks like a tunicate.

Too bad it's such a crummy photo. Could you get a better shot that is in focus?

I'm leanin' hard towards sponge.

Sorry, you'd think these great 4 megapixel cameras could make up for shakiness. Oh, guess I could read the manual and set it for a higher shutter spead....

Sponge you say?
Thats exactly what they seem to be, the pull off and apart just like a kitchen sponge... Its just that they are growing everywhere in patches that I figured they were some sort of algae.

Here's a better pic, though not much. Note to self, get a tripod...
