I'm planning on killing my aptasia tomorrow (28th). I want to try the calcium & boiling water way. What I want to know is how much do I use. I will be using pickiling lime. How much lime & water do I add to the syringe? I will be injecting into the body, not letting it go near the mouth of the aptasia. Your help would be appreciated.

One other thing, the aptasia is about 2" long in the stock and another 2" long with the tenticles. The mouth area is about 1/2".

Did you already try the procedure?

I don't have an exact recipe for the kalk paste I make, but I take about 3 tablespoons of RO water and mix 1 teaspoon of kalk into it. I keep adding teaspoons of water or kalk (as needed) until I get a nice paste.
Then I load the syringe, and blast the aiptasia.
Good luck.

Thank you all for your help :D
I did it already and I believe I was successful. I heated up the water and lime in the microwave and tried to use the syringe but didn't understand exactly how to use it because it wasn't sucking up much of the liquid. So I took my baster and filled it up, held the bottom so it didn't all fall out as I was getting to the aptasia. I blanketed the area and let it set for 1 hour with the powerheads off. Then I sucked up as much of the lime as I could and tried to suck up the aptasia. Well it wouldn't all come off, but it looked like it had been skinned alive and was just a shriveled mess. Today I checked it and could not see it anywhere. So I guess it worked. My ph didn't fluctuate too much either.

Thanks, Rian

Just make sure you get the "right" peppermint shrimp.
And be wary, because after the peppermints dispose of aiptasia, they might go after zoanthids. Not always, but sometimes.
