Will my accropora recover from a recent bleaching?

I had a nice show piece purple accropora bleach on me after an AC failure when my tank temp hit 92º Sunday. Since then I have seen a general progressive bleaching that has finally reached about 80-90% (even though I got the tank temp to come back down to normal). I do not see any green algae on the accro and it has been about 5 days so far. Can anyone tell me if it will recover or not?

My guess is it can recover, but there is a significant chance it won't come back looking the same as it did before the bleach. I've had corals bleach in their entirety before recover completely, albeit slightly different colors (less colorful for the most part).

I would frag out the living pieces. If it does start to recover, it will likely never reclaim the entire skeleton. It's better to just start new colonies.

Don't frag it. It will not make any difference if you do. It will come back or it won't, I have found it to be about 50/50 chance. Good luck.

If I believe my own experience, bleached parts won't recover. Try to separate at least one intact frag to begin a new colony as the bleaching seems to extends to nearby polyps only (I suspect that bleaching is in fact RTN induced by temperature). Do you have, as I had, corail flesh a bit discomposing at the limit between white/alive areas ? If yes, this would favor the RTN hypothesis.
