CPR Bakpak 2r question...

just bought the CPR Bakpak 2r for my 75 FOWLR. I know they're only rated up to 60gal, but I'm sure it's gonna be a HUGE improvement over my seaclone! I was gonna get the Knop, but after I ordered it I got a call from Exotic Fish letting me know that the CPR was on sale for $99... said he recommends the CPR over the Knop so I told him sure.

ANYWAYS, my question is this... take a look at the skimmer below if you forget what it looks like. Won't the return tube fill up with air and stop the flow?

I used to have one on my 55 gal. It did put some bubbles in the tank however. Seems like the sponge helped some of that. I will tell you, just as an FYI, I found a Remora Pro w/Rio800 on ebay for 75 bucks. Got and the Remora basically shutdown the BakPak. Skims 4 or 5 times as well. The only downside to the deal is the Rio 800 won't restart without some help priming (say if the power blinks) unlike the little Rio that comes with the BakPak. That thing has never failed me.
