Well.... I just set up a twin tank system using one.

Here's the nickel answer to your question.

Pros:

It's an algae filter based system and I like algae filters so that makes it a plus in my book.

No sump, refugium, protein skimmer or any other type of pumps are needed. One 120w air pump powers the whole system.

No chiller required - my tank will run 1-2 degrees above ambient room temp. I actually had to install a heater and I live in SoCal for crying out loud.

No mechanical filtration to strip particulate matter from the water - I add BBS around dinner time and it's still tumbling around at lunch the next day.

Provides a built in surge for your tank.

Cons:

Expensive!

No mechanical filtration - to remove unwanted junk you need ot run a canister filter periodically.

Heaters and such need to be hidden in the overflows due to the lack of a sump.

Did I say it was expensive?

Other than that, I think it's a great system that shows a lot of promise. It's just too bad they can't get the price down a bit.

Regards,

Brett
