In a Water Composition Report that I received from my local water dept., it states that following parameters...

* Electrical Conductivity 250.0 - 800.0
* pH 7.5 - 8.5
* Total Dissolved Solids 125. - 400. mg/l
* Chloride AS Cl < - 200.
* Bicarbonate AS HCO3 50. - 75. mg/l
* Sulfate AS SO4 < - 20. mg/l
* Nitrate < - 1.0 mg/l
* Calcium AS Ca 15. - 25. mg/l
* Total Hardness AS CaCO3 50. - 120. mg/l
* Magnesium AS Mg 2. - 20. mg/l
* Sodium < - 200. mg/l
* Flouride NIL
* Taste, Color, Odor Unobjectionable
* Coliform Bacteria NIL

What is the Electrical Conductivity reading? Any other readings that stand out??

Thanks.

Tankless,

Conductivity is used as a proxy for water purity. The more salts dissolved in the water, the better it conducts electricity, so lower conductivity is better (more pure).

Nothing in that analysis jumps out except that it is rather brief. Did you leave out values for Phosphorus/Phosphate, heavy metals, pesticides, etc., or were they not included in the analysis?

In the absence of more information, I would use an R/O unit, and make sure it has a very high quality (and/or and extra) sediment filter (TDS is a bit high). If you don't have access to an R/O or it is cost prohibitive, I would at least us a hight quality sediment filter and carbon block filter (drinking water carbon blocks are notorious for high phosphate, so be careful of this).
