Nope, they reproduce by spawning and I think it would take a miracle to for them to reproduce in captivity.

:)

My Sebae (H.crispa) has spawned many times, but without a sexual partner, nothing's come of it. I don't think I've heard accounts of them reproducing asexually like BTAs.

Man... you guys sabae is white and beautifull. My sebae is brown and ugly. When I first bought it, it's white like in the picture. Now, it's so brown... like dark brown.. :( :(

Not a bad sign, actually. Most of the white ones that come in are simply bleached specimens. There are few whitish morphs out there, but by in large the white ones sold are bleached from stress. If mnreefman's specimen is a new acquistion, i'd bet good money it will get darker over time as well.

You are correct. That's what I read. Actually, the book said the sabae is one of the most delicate anemone to keep. When it's white, it's actually expelling the plankton and ready to die.

mnreefman - does your handly imply that you live in minnesota? if so, where did you get the anemone? world of fish or somewhere else? They seem to be the only sw store in the area. there's one down the road, but it's crappy.
