How do button polyps and corallimorphs spread/reproduce? TIA!

A zoanthid rock purchased at LFS will creep very slowly in all directions like melting butter. In my pico reefs, zoanthid mats grow about 1/4 inch every two months. Mushroom corals usually will 'walk' over the rocks they are purchased on, leaving tiny sprouts behind that form clones of the parent.

There are sexual forms that are more uncommon in the captive reef. In this case, reproductive cells can be emitted into the water column and upon random chance they unite with the recipient cell, where genetic information is recombined into a planulae or similar larval form specific to the family. I have seen xenia under this condition, pics on the internet some time ago...
