Hi all,
Does anyone here have any experiance with this product?
Can someone please tell me if it can be used in an already working aquarium?
My boyfriend has a reef tank with refugium and live sand in it. It's been running for 2 years now. Can he use this mud in his refugium? how?

Thanks a lot!

I have no exp with any of the "muds" for reef tanks. I see no reason why you could not add it to a fuge. BUT from all I read you will probably be throwing away your money. Some people have great results from the stuff I personally would save my $$. Do a search on miracle mud and you should find some topics about what it is composed of. Crap storming pretty bad, I was gona add more but I'll post later.

haven't posted in a while since i graduated and lost my broadband. here's my input on the matter: i tried miracle mud on my refugium. all i did was let it stand for a couple days before i turned it on. everything was fine. i could have been lucky that i didnt lose anything- who knows. it's been running for about 6 months now. no problems. if you want to be on the safe side, fill it with saltwater and your macroalgea and put a small pump or filter in it to circulate the water, and let it run for about a week or two before connecting it to your main tank. i did this on another tank that had its refugium crash. stuff had died in it so i let it cycle itself. did several water changes to the refugium before i connected it to the main tank too. but, honestly, i don't think you will need to do that unless you are adding the miracle mud on top of your old DSB in your refugium. sorry if that's a little indirect. hope someone replies with a better answer than mine.
