What is the second synthetic salt you would most like to see tested in the first round?

Please refer to this thread to vote on which synthetic salt you'd most like to see tested.

NOTE: The following salt mixes are not being polled because they've clearly made the cut in the first poll: Instant Ocean, Crystal Sea Marinemix, Kent Marine and Tropic Marin

Because Instant Ocean, Reef Crystals and Kent Marine are manufactured by Aquarium Systems and there has been a lot of speculation around their difference it will be ideal if the three of them could be in the same phase of the study and really find out if the difference in price of the RC and Kent with the IO worth the difference in composition and performance.

i think since KEnt, reef crystals and IO are suposedlty the same lets bump at least one maybe 2 of them off and get some others in there

I think it would be interesting to know which of all these salts are manufactured by the same supplier. I'll try to explain what I'm meaning.

Almost all salts are manufactured by only a few places in the world; it is only the patent name(e.g. Aqufrium Systems or etc.) that separates them in price and broad distribution; for those that are made in the same plant.

This is, to clarify, that many of these salts listed (speculation) are manufactured at the same plant but sold under different names, but have the same constituents.

And in that sense it will be quite interesting to see how many have the same constituents, with a given variation in homogenuity due to the mixing process of ocurse.

It might be good if the link to http://www.inlandreef.com/SaltStudy.html were more prominently listed somewhere - that's where we'll be posting the progress. I think it will work better if we keep the data there and the discussion here - facts tend to get "lost" in long heated threads .

They seem to think it so much better, maybe you can get them to cough up some $$ to add it

We'll have a better feel for what we can accomplish once all the auctions and other fund-raising efforts are complete.
