Not the veggie. I have one in my tank. It must have hitched on some LR that I bought. The bugger is grey. I got the rock from someone who was breaking down there tank. Should I keep it or take it out?

if you feel that it may poison your tank when it dies, then take it out. Otherwise, leave it in.

Probably not as close as in the same family as sea apples, but apple, cuke, star, and dollar are in the same phyllum, FWIW...

I've yet to have cukes poison whole tank. I had numerous occasions that cukes gone MIA. But have yet experienced nuking effects.

I hope I will never experience nukings...........

(I'd say leave it in.)

However, not all cukes ingest sands.
