My limpet committed suicide

It started grazing on my heater. The heater turned on. The limpet didn't have sufficient neurons to figure out to let go. Now, it's toast. (Or should I say, soup? )

How do I protect neuronically challenged species from the dangerous stuff in the tank, e.g. heaters, powerhead intakes, etc.?

Dont put dangerous stuff in your tank. Use a sump for that, if you need powerheads in your tank try sponge prefilters for them.
