well i am building a new stand for my 90gal, and i was just digging thought the piles of suggestions but have come up with a question, what do you do with all the power cords etc? i was counting, i have 16 cords for my 75 gallon tank. 6 power heads, 2 heaters, skimmer, 2 mh, 2 pc, 1 ph in sump, 1 pump for water return and a timer.. and thats not including the fuge. what have you done? right now im using the gfci powerstrip idea, but omg i never really paid attention before any suggestions on management for this? its worse then my computer desk.

I use velcro wire straps (you can get them at Best Buy and Radio Shack) to make a bundle of the wires as it runs along through the cabinet. I also make sure the plugs of each component have a clearly legible waterproof label to prevent confusion.

I just leave everything tangled all over the place, sparks flying, corrosion on the plugs... It keeps things interesting, not to mention the challenge! 8O

No... not really... I use the pastic zip ties and have tried to consolidate the cords. I've also used a label maker to label each plug so I know what goes where without having to trace it back.
