Merry Christmas!

I have a brand new Sen700 pump sitting in a closet right now and I was wondering if there is anything I can do with it to increase flow in my tank.

I have a 90g tank and I want more flow. Can I use this pump in any way?

You could have it pull from a strainer into a tube, just like a canister filter, and then pump back into the tank, either with or without a SCWD. That would be you best, IMO. Hope this helps.

SCWD? Not sure what that means.

Should I use PVC to do this or is it best to use hoses? I want to minimize any accidents.

You could build an over the top closed loop. Put a spraybar or a largert manifold on the return side, could even play with some kind of eductor and you would get some nice flow. Here is a pic of a closed loop - over tank set up a guy up in dallas put together using a SQWD:
