It's normal for many fish to be skittish when first introduced to the tank, what else is in there ? Clowns do bob up and down though, that is how they swim. :D

Nothing except a watchman goby, a shrimp, and some other inverts. The LFS said that it takes longer ofor fish to come out without other fish in the tank because e they think there's danger since theres no other fish swimming out.

Like I said, Im paranoid. If u read my posts from a while ago, youll knwo why.

Thnx!

You mentioned that you've had a lot of fish die due to ICK...do you quarantine your newly purchased fish for any period of time? QTing is the single best thing you can do to insure continued survival/flourishing of newly added individuals...decreases stress/time for adjustment/close observation/catching is much easier/med dosing/ control of water quality...etc, etc.

My clowns swam at the very top of the water when we first added them. It was like they were trying to get out some times they would turn on their side and be hidden by the canopy. They were both eating by the second day though. Have you tried adding a little garlic to the food? I would be more worried about the not eating then the skittishness.
