ID Please

Hi guys I tried to get a good pic, but this is the best I could do.
It is tiny, the center is about the size of a pin head, 3 legs are 3/4" the other 3 a really tiny. Can you guys ID?

That is what I think, but I want to be sure before I put it back in my tank.
Also, I forget. Are brittle star fish ok in a reef?

They are great scavenges, I had 2 came in with a frag, I now have over 50. They hide in rock holes with 1 or 2 legs out grab whatever is in the water. I love these guys, never gave me any problems.

I agree, I have a few in my tank, dont seem to bother anything.

kool, thats how I got this one on a frag. But if they multiply that much I wonder if it comes a time when they become a nuisance.

You guys think it would be alright in the fowlr with dog face puffer, blue throat trigger, marine betta, volitan lion, banana eel, pbt, & an angel fish?
Or should I just put it in my reef?

Reef. It wouldn't reach the bottom with a puffer, trigger, eel and lionfish in the tank :eat:

p.s. Their numbers are controlled by the availability of food. I've never heard of a tank overrun by mini-brittle stars.

Yeah put it in the reef tank i have a few white ones and all i see is their legs popping out and they look like little worms. I have no problems with them and i have a few of them. Do not put them with the puffers like Deamos said u will probably never see them again.

LOL i only have about 30000 of them in my main tank ,they spawn like crazy and do a great job eatting whatever they do
Cool thing they come in a few diff colors ,i have pure white ones ,pure black ,red and white and maybe balck and white one too ,i forget too many

I also see those guys under every crevice.
My little 58g also has 1000x and yet I don't feed as often as I like :bigeyes2:
