what corals should be avoided for whatever the reason for the novice to expert reef keeper? personal experience or opinion...This question isnt just for me...Its for all
Dendronephthia (aka Carnation coral); has no xooxanthellae and therefore can not utilize light and must be fed enough phytoplankton to fuel the ensuing algea bloom.
Diasy coral (I forget the scientific name)
They can not survive the damage sustained in shipping. I think, overall, little is known about them because thats about all I could find about them.
