What are the best foods for pods?

Do copepods, amphipods, and isopods eat different things?

I've read they eat algae, but I have observed them scavenging meaty foods also.

Which would be the best pod food: pellets (made from shrimp meal, fish meal, and algae meal), flakes (made from the same as the pellets), flakes (made from spirulina), dried seaweed, nori, dead mysis shrimp, or dead shrimp and shellfish chunks?

The pods/mysis in my tanks always seem to go crazy when I add simple flake food. It's also easy to crush up into very small pieces. I usually add this when my tank is cycling (and later) to feed my little crustacean friends.

I started culturing phytoplankton 2 months ago, and rotifers 1 month ago. I have a pod invasion on my hands. I've gone from not seeing any pods at all to seeing several everywhere I look [immediately].

I thing it's the phytoplankton.

Out of all the foods I have fed my pod and mysis cultures, flake food seems to be the favorite. They go crazy for it.
