Anyone using the wave2k wavemaker? Is it worth the price?

Yes...Matt_m is using it. Apparently he is loving it too. He posted pics on here of it...it was quite recent, too. I'm sure he'd be glad to give you feedback.

I've done quite a few searches over the last week and have found a lot of people who have had problems with them or have just been unhappy with the amount of water flow. I'm interested in a couple corner units, however the people over at wave2k have been extremely slow about getting information to me. I'll give them a few more days then I move on to plan B, building my own. I saw a great plan on RC for a similiar device.

Has anyone had any problems with customer service when they've had any problems?

Only been running it for 3 weeks now though, tank is relatively new. The corals I have seem to like it though. Seems to be breaking in nicely, not as loud anymore, had some problems with getting it running when it was new...had to help the motor out a little. It starts without a problem now though. Had to move tank to install it though...was to close to the wall. Only time will tell...no problems so far though.

Mine's going on two weeks now w/o a problem. It's unusual that they're not getting info to you MP.

I have one and was not happy with the flow and noise and broken belts and general construction. Rock-work really impeads flow of these units. The big unit would do ok in a sparce 55. I switched to Tunze streams and am also going to go with an oceansmotions.com unit.

Still haven't heard from them. I've already sent a couple emails and 1 phone call. It has been about a week now. Not a great way to do business.
