Spontaneous splitting

I am checking out the tank today and I notice that branches are breaking off my colt. params are good everything els seems ok the mother coloney where the frg originated from can be seen next to it. should I worry?

Nothing to worry about really. Happens all the time. Sometimes, however, the coral makes a "habit" of it and starts dropping off new buds on a regular basis which you can either view as a blessing (free frags) or a PITA

That is just one way in which these corals multiply. Concider it a boon. You can either keep them or harvest them to sell or trade.
