E-mail will not always be instant- various conditions can cause delays of minutes, hours, and in very rare cases, days. If you never receive the messages at all, then one of the following three things happened:
1) Our server bounced the message for some reason.
2) MailGuard mistakenly blocked the message.
3) The message never reached our server.
If *@reefs.org receive a "bounce" message, please have them send a copy of it to you by another means, then send it to us by reply to this message or through
http://help.bellsouth.net/ and we'll try to interpret it.
If *@reefs.org does not get a bounce message, log into
http://WebMail.bellsouth.net/, go to MailGuard Options, click Review, then click OK. Next, have your friend send the e-mail again. To check wether MailGuard got it, go back to
http://webmail.bellsouth.net/ and go to "Folders" and "MailGuard". If the message is there, forward a copy to
[email protected] so that we can investigate removing it from the block list.
If there's no bounce message and the message isn't in MailGuard, then it never reached our servers, as we always either deliver the message, place it in the MailGuard folder (when Review is enabled), or send a bounce message. Please request that Reefs.org check with their own ISP(s) regarding the issue.
