20K 250watt Metal Halide Bulb - CoralVue

Does anyone have any experience with these bulbs? They seem alot cheaper than the others. I was wondering if the life is the same and the quallity is good. TIA

Do a search on Coralvue in the Forums and you will find some very in depth comparison of these bulbs vs the other brands.

My new setup is going to be running the 10k 250w Coralvues. I'm not a big 20k fan. But, this is just my opinion, others love them.

I installed the CoralVue 250 watt 20 k on 12-26-2003 and love it. I have it on my 70 gallons that is 24" deep and it penetrates to the bottom nicely. Some say the 20 k is too blue but i dod not think so. i supplement it with my original set-up 36" NO Flor. one white and one actinic. my tank does not appear too blue.

coralvue 20k 250 watts bulbs work well with coralvue ballasts. they are tuned to work together and have a higher PAR value when paired together compared to putting the bulb in different brand ballasts. there is a huge thread on reefcentral.com
