I am going to move it to GRD forum. My question is how can you be so confident about the exact species? I hardy see anybody can be more specific than just Porites...
Anyway, generally speaking, Porites can be very hard to keep, while some people were able to do away with general husbandry with appropriate light and calcium for years. I have a Xmas tree rock with Porites coral on it, and I also have yellow Porites. Both did well without much efford, and in fact, the one with the worm is about 5 yrs old under my care (did not grow much though...).
