I think I read somewhere that people have done this. One of my 2 shrimp has eggs on her belly. Does this mean I deffinitely have a male and female or can shrimp act like fish and just lay eggs without a male.
i believe you have a mated pair.if not they will usualy kill one another.i to have a pregnant female and from what ive read the young are almost impossible to raise.they stay in the water colum for a while feeding on the very small matter and phyto.if someone has a way to raise them i to would be interested because my pair has eggs all the time.....
I am moving them to a separate tank of course, But I am not sure about the food. Will there be naturally occuring bactieria in the water.
I geuss I got lucky with these as they are both wild caught. Both were obtained from the same area yet at differnt times. Did I luck out and catch an already mated pair or would they choose to mate in the captive setting?
