ph problems

hi guys,
any ideas why my ph keeps dropping,i thought i had high c02,i put air stones in to try but it still drops,my reef is runnin fine and everything is lookin good,i thought it was faulty test kits,my lfs tested with 3 ph kitts.i bought kent true ph plus which raises the ph without raising kh,after 24 hrs of addin ph plus it reads at 8.3 and within 48 hrs it as dropped to a readin of 8,i tried leavin it fo four days only to find it was at 7.8,my kh is steady at 11 so i dont want to add buffer,my calc is steady at 420,i have plenty of water movement and other water params r fine,this is one hell of a cool hobby and i love the thought of havin a piece of the ocean in my home,but sometimes it drives me mad,one thing after another.
can anyone give me advice,as anybody had the same problem iam sure this is a common problem.

i have also tried dripping kalkwasser,after drippink kalk ph gone up and then guess what happens next. :evil:

If your reef is thriving and you have good algae growing . I wouldnt worry about it. My Ph is about 7.6-7.8 . everything is fine. you might want to add buffer in the morning. I wouldnt mess with the water chemistry too much. water changes would be good idea. I dose Kalk and use buffer although the buffer is nt used only on a monthly basis.

My Ph moniter might be off though. anyhow as long as your macros are growing your good

i dont chase ph levels with buffers,your asking for more trouble,it will raise your ph,but it will also raise your kh,as i said my kh is at 11 addin more buffer will raise my kh of the scale,i also think if your ph is 7.6 i would look at raising to 8.1-8.3 if it drops any lower you could be in trouble.
