JEBO power compact 55 x 4 220 watts

i just ordered a 48 in 220 watt jebo power compact strip for my 75 gallon tank, im upgrading from NO. the strip comes with 2 actinics and 2 10000k pcs.... anyone else used jebo, the price was right, 80 bucks. i just wonder if there gonna take standard pc bulbs when its time for replacement, well at any rate 220 watts of PC light for 80 bucks isnt a bad deal.

I bought some of these for my 75 a few months back.

They're not very well made,, there were a few screws loose here and there,, it gets a bit warm,,, and the JEBO bulbs aren't very bright,, but still a bargain for $80. I replaced the bulbs with coralife and the unit works great.

I also bought the 36" 110w Jebo for my fuge,,, I think it was about $55 plus shipping.

well yea i expected, i can mod it though and stil be way cheaper than the 250 dollar same fixture at my LFS.... wheres a good place to get good bulbs for it, great to hear it takes normal PCs.

It will take any 55w PC bulb with four pins,,, there is a little wiring diagram in the box in case you get 4 pin square bulbs (the Jebo's are straight pin).

I think the coralife bulbs are 65w instead of 55w for the Jebo's ,, works ok so far. I got them from the local LFS,,, pretty common bulb.

well i maybe you can use a higher wattage bulb, but if the ballas is only rated for 220 i dont think you will get any more than that out of it

PJ's right,, it will probably not deliver an extra 10w per bulb if you use the coralife's,, I can't be bothered dismantling it to look at the ballast

I only noticed the Jebo bulbs were crap because 2 of them were broken on one side of the unit during shipping,,,,, when i replaced them, the coralife half of the tank looked wayyy brighter than the jebo side.
