Okay, i guess RO is the best, no question. Has any one tried "Tap Water Filter" by aquarium pharmaceuticals??? I have attached a copy of my town water report, i cannot make heads or tails of it. Is it good or bad or middle of the road??? so.........do i spring for the RO unit (which type i have no idea), use the tap water filter or just plain tap water. I have a reef with soft corals and fish,

I would say in the end just about everybody ends up buying a RO unit. You will be much happier with it. Check out www.airwaterice.com. They have good deals and great customer service. I have had one of there RO/DI reefkeepers for a little over a year and have no complaints.

Pretty good water. You have about 0.1 ppm nitrates, which won't cause any problems. They do put in 1ppm orthophosphate. I don't remember if that's a form that can be taken up by algae, but if it is...

Can't see any silicates, but they may not be testing.

I think the "Tap Water Filter" is a DI unit. The biggest drawback to using it I think would be the high cost of replacment cartridges.
