I am going to put an RO unit on my Christmas list. I would appreciate it if anyone could share any links to various online retailers. High GPD is not a prioity, although I do want a DI chamber. Thanks in advance! :D

I do like my SpectraPure unit that I bought 3 yrs ago. Many of our sponsors (link at top of the page) carry SpectraPure products. You may also want to look into the AquaFX units as well as I've heard good things about them. I'd go with a 4 stage RO/DI unit (contains sediment filter, carbon filter, RO, and DI). What size tank are you going to be using this for?

I will be using on my 46 gallon. Right now I just have one of the dionization tap water filters. I've recently moved to the next county and I think the water isn't quite as good, and would like to give RO a shot. Thanks for the advice.

I got the one off ebay for $78 (5 stage) that I like. Works fine, gives me near zero TDS. As a matter of fact, I think he dropped the price to $58. You can search on RO in ebay to find it.

I think I'd almost go w/ something between 50 and 100 gpd. If you have a tank problem and you have a low gpd unit, you're in deep doodoo.

Yep, that's the ticket. I've had mine for a few months now, and couldn't be happier. Saved me a lot of $$$ from buying water from the LFS or distilled. Plenty of output--I've flooded the floor a few times already.

If your patient, you can be the sole bidder. I'd wouldn't go a few dollars over, because they are always some for auction. FYI, when I bought it, it was $78.

I bought an e-bay special, same guy as in the post. Set it up yesterday, got about 45g's in 13 hours. I got a 100gpd model, i think it was 6100DINT. Paid $86 + ship. I did a buy it now cuz a few $ didn't make a diffrence. Water tested great. I say go for it.

Well, Christmas couldn't wait, I went ahead and got the 75 GPD from the guy I referenced above. I also got a TDS meter, which I thought would be a great investment as well. I'll be sure to test my just regular tap water, my tap water filter water, and then my ro water with it and let you all know what I find. Thanks again for the advice.

That's really cheap!!! I just bought 2 100gpd membranes for my unit & paid 80$ per membrane!
I'll have to check if this guy carries replacement cartridges. Your water checked out okay though?

You can get booster pumps from RV dealers/centers for less than 65. Just look for the right psi rating. I found out after I bought my pump & paid a little under 200 for it. This guy @ the ebay site is getting all my future RO business needs. I have to replace carts pretty often because my well water sucks.
